Jack Davies is a quirky kid with a passion for mangoes and Bob Dylan. He’s also an award winning young singer/songwriter from Perth, WA.
After picking up the guitar at the age of four, Jack grew up busking old folk songs at a local cafe. He also began to partake in local theatre and spoken word poetry, which saw him perform multiple times at the State Theatre of WA and a paid feature at the Perth Poetry Club at just 16 years of age.
The now 18 year old songwriter has opened for well known Australian acts such as Methyl Ethyl and Cub Sport, as well as playing at a number of festivals, including Fairbridge Music Festival, Nanga Music Festival, Fringe World Festival and Summerset Arts Festival.
His songs recently won the 2016 Fairbridge Quest, the Illawarra Folk Festival Song and Tune Writing Competition, as well as the ACMF National Songwriting Competition.
